Val - the 56K version of the technology will be announced soon which I believe is part of the VocalWare client. This allows it to be used over 56K, ISDN, xDSL, cable modems etc. You just can't ignore the FACT that 95% of all the internet users are currently connecting through analog modems and that percentage is going to remain very high for a long time to come. No ifs, ands or buts about it. BTW: I'm not into mentioning names but the guy who started in on Blanchard was one of the old "Austin gang" who I believe was totally out of the stock long ago, matter of fact the company was rather surprised to see him in attendance.
