This article is garbage. Not only is every percentage figure either under or overstated but the whole tone of this piece is so slanted that it smacks of "yellow journalism".All on this thread are aware that I am not a supporter of DELL's 1999 price performance.Having said that,I feel that the author of this piece has crafted his "writing" so as to make it appear that Dell has not been a or the stellar performer of the past decade.

>>By comparison, Qualcomm
Inc., the current S&P 500 leader, has surged more than 1000
percent this year.<<

To make this type of comparison is beyond logic. To use GTW as an example would have been fair.Using Qualcomm and its stratospheric return only leads me to believe the author has an agenda. What other stock in 1999 can compare to Qualcomm?I have not looked it up but if there are any please make me aware .

El:
Watch out that Cpq does not get caught in the updraft
caused by Dell earnings. It may make those Nov 22.5 calls good.
