Mike: What's Gerry's next move? My guess is, with his AC profits, he purchases 15% plus one share of Canadian and makes a sidebar deal with AMR so that he can vote the 10% of Canadian that AMR can't under current rules. Gerry and AMR continue to bleed Canadian so bad that the government feels compelled to offer the allegedly struggling airline a lifeline in the form of a whole mess of interest free loans. AC has effectively screwed itself by buying back its own shares at the ridiculous price of $16. In this scenario, do you really want to own shares in either airline? The whole thing stinks IMHO.
Hey, good luck.
