Jill Jail or Fort Bob = Virtual incarceration. Suspension from Silicon Investor. Spank a Spammer = Report a spam violation (especially in the "Spammer Hall of Fame" thread). If the violation looks bad enough to likely warrant account termination, reported directly to Bob, who enjoys changing the offender's alias. Grubbing = Getting an interesting or significant post number, be it an ordinal intra-thread number or a global reply number. There are many who grab minor grubs here and there, such as post #1984 in the "Grubber's Trophy Case" thread, palindrome grubs, poker hands, and other lesser ones. There are many who get minor grubs all over the site. Then there's David Lawrence. A sub-culture has risen around post-grubbing on SI, and along with it, a somewhat complex set of rules. It's also been around for a long time Message 4150027 Someone else should take a crack at defining it in fewer words, and covering all of the other more esoteric aspects, such as matching a post number with date and time.

Anyway, I have some ideas about what 909 means, but am not confident enough (yet) to step up to the plate and define it. Hopefully, someone will be willing to take a crack at it...
