I have not read anyone stating the obvious of this FOF. MSFT is about to be convicted of criminal behavior and will be penalized as such. True, with the appeals process, it may be years before a final outcome may be decided.

But I ask you, especially the pro-MSFT camp, when was the last time you hired, worked with or wanted to do business with a convicted felon? IMO, if this trial goes through the appeals process, the outcome is irrelevant. Between now and then MSFT is going to have a difficult time convincing companies that they are trustworthy.

Whether MSFT settles with DOJ, accepts the remedies of law set out by the court or appeals until the next millenium, they are going to be dealt of severe blow as a result of this trial.

All IT companies will benefit by a weaker MSFT starting Monday morning and into the future.

Cheers, Bob.
