Lotsa questions, over,

<< Another 2 questions, how far west of the Ovoid does the Nain-Rae suture go, in other words how wide is it in this area? Do you think the E-W trend of the discoveries is due to tectonic plate shifting? >>

And tough ones too. As you've noticed the suture is a fault zone which has been reactivated many times since the Torngat Orogeny (about 1.8 billion years ago). There probably is no consensus on the suture's width, but my interpretations of the regional geophysics suggest it may be as least 3 kms wide near the Ovoid.

I think the EW-structures are primary ore controls (i.e., for the feeder conduits). Some believe these structures were developed when the Nain Plutonic Suite intruded about 1.3 billion years ago--I respectfully disagree, and think they developed during the Torngat Orogeny as impactogen basins near-perpendicular to the suture. (The regional seismic data probably does not image these EW-structures because the EW-seismic lines parallel these structures.)

I hope my responses above answer your questions, over. It may well be a good time to be an INCO (and NVB) investor.

P.S. Hopefully, thru our recent discussions you can also understand why I think Okak Bay and South Voisey (Harp Lake) are probably barren of Voisey's Bay-style ore and mineralization. Note that Okak has no troct, and Harp is on the wrong side of the suture--many who have invested in Gallery, Cartaway, Canadian States Gas, Donner, NDT, and other Labrador juniors have been disappointed.
