I would like to start a thread on Inco Voisey Bay Nickel which trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange with ticker symbol T.N.V It currently trades near its 52-week low mainly because Inco is having problems signing an agreement with the Inuit to build a road to the Voisey Bay site. This company represents 25% of the future cash flow from Diamond Fields Resources which was previously owned by Robert Friedland. The first cashflow is expected in 1999 but the stock is heading south due to the delays in signing agreements with the Inuit. Robertson-Stephens Contrarian Fund has a 5% position in this stock and Manager Paul Stephens believes that it is worth, easily, > $100 within 3-5 years according to his June, Fortune magazine interview. The stock has a small dividend payable in U.S. dollars. Great long-term play with minimal downside risk as the Inuit eventually will settle with Inco as they need jobs, schools, better infrastructure etc. in Labrador. | ||||||||||||||
