And are you talking about "The Economic Consequences of the Peace"? If so, I am frankly flabbergasted at what looks to me like a perverse interpretation.

Seems to me that if you want to look for supporters of "appeasement" you should take a look at some of the European conservatives, who tended to be 1) at least mildly anti-Semitic, and 2)scared witless of "Bolshevism," both of which led them to think of Hitler as a potential bulwark against the Jewish-inspired Hordes from the East.
