Tucker "'normal; margins' from the expected sales"

the announcement was that overall margins were affected. normal margins from expected sales plus decreased margins from unexpected sales still yields slightly overall lower margins. earnings were not discussed, but assumed.

as you say, Thursday tells all.

<<<If this is true, then DELL management was playing games
with the analysts, and should never have issued a warning in the first place.>>>
IMO analysts have put the most negative spin on Dells performance and that of other computer mfg's) all year while paying very little attention to the positives. They want to play games?, OK

GVT,

You are taking "a damned if you do and a damned if you don't" approach to DELL management. To me this merely means
that you are very nervous about Thursday's report and you are blaming DELL for your nervousness. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.

:)
