Goutama, Nice summary! <Pretty good jump in K7-700 offerings indicating a good supply.> Looks like there are plenty of data points that agree with this jump. Also, not difficult to understand if it is indeed true that AMD is shipping 650s as 500s! <Seems that mobo supply is not a big problem any more.> I am also upbeat but I think there is still some scope for glitches before the year is out. Goutama - RE: "AMD Athlon CPU proliferation into small computer outlets based on the advertisements in Computer Current - Bay Area. Updated today." Thanks for that summary. Looks like the Athlon is STILL the fastest processor one can buy from their local computer shop.
