Howard A better approach is to buy a SCSI adapter like an Adaptec AVA-2906 for $55 for your external Jaz drive. Thanks for replying Howard..and I thought I was going to get away with this upgrade for the cost of a new Jaz cartridge :) Do I understand you to mean external and internal devices should not be mixed on a single adapter? What features should I be looking for with a separate adapter for external SCSI devices? In other words, why did you recommend the AVA-2906? Clarence
