Hi Tom You know that it's hard to make those trades in UOPIX when you are on the road <GGG>. I had a GTC order in on QQQ to sell 6% of my shares at 140 and someone came and gave me 140-1/4. Now that was real nice of those folks and I love those GTC orders. BTW I found out about those GTC orders from you and I thank you. My next sell point is 150-1/8 and buy at 124-1/8. Hope your trip is a safe one. Larry G

hi tom, i think i figured ou how to do something with newport but i am not sure about any side effects. i would like to go back to 1/24/99 and change the prices on UOPIX to reflect the 4 for 1 split that occurred in july. this should make the graph look better but i don't know if it will change the number crunching of newport as far as the buys and sells are concerned. by the way, after reading you post on the UOPIX thread i checked my acct which started 1/24/99. I had a sale yesterday of about 15% of my UOPIX holdings. i am now sitting on 52/48 (stock/cash). Will probably vealie out the rest of the year, (or until i catch up to the iw. i am showing a 42% profit? what could account for the big difference? if memory serves correctly you started UOPIX some time before me and were way ahead of me when AIM kicked in. this sling that i will be wearing for the next 3 months is a royal pain. bernie
