Of course, what I posted was:

Show me the link from gateway.com
or dell.com
(Show me where i can buy a desktop system without MS-Works or MS-Office SBE. I find no such thing.)

This board has selective reading skills such as I've never seen.

The *FACT* is, if you want a PC from Dell (largest PC seller in the WORLD) or from Gateway (largest seller of PCs to the consumer in the WORLD), you are forced to accept either MS-Works, or MS-Office WHETHER YOU WANT THEM OR NOT. No substitutions allowed. Period. End of story.

And *FURTHERMORE*, that fact looks awful suspicious, considering that MSFT has a defacto monopoly in OS for the Intel architecture. What it looks like, is MS is using its "considerable market clout" to shut out competition in other software products, *JUST* like they did with Explorer (i.e. force Dell and Gateway to ship Explorer, but forbid them "bundling" Netscape).

I'm not posting anymore on this subject. Period.
