Thanks for that correction on the options issue. Options are both a form of incentive, your point, and compensation. I suppose that the board's problem at the time was that there was a contradiction between what the share price was at the time and the view of whether management had successfully managed the business.

The actual share price at any given moment in time is out of control of the company. Now that the share price is up, I was curious as to whether the "grumpy" investors had a different view. Perhaps they lost patience and moved on ... and consequently missed the run up.
