<< why not go with a sector that you may know something about, but that has some appeal - such as the fibre channel stocks?? I guess I hate to see fine minds putting so much effort into something that is obviously going to take some time to turn around. >> Have any suggestions of stocks that won't give us nosebleeds. So many of the in favor stocks have valuations I can't begin to understand or justify. And we wouldn't want to be the last ones to the party. :)

I guess I hate to see fine minds putting so much effort into something that is obviously* going to take some time to turn around.* First, nothing is ever obvious in the market. The Maxtor news is precipitating a nice little rally in drive stocks today. Will it continue? I think so. The sentiment, as your comment indicates, is so overwhelmingly against this industry that any perception of a change will be dramatically reflected in the stock prices. Second, what is so fine about the minds around here?<g>

Momentum is a powerful force-- careful it doesn't bite you in the ass. << Are people just hanging on to drive stocks these days just to avoid taking a loss??>> Nope, recent buy after a very long time of trading (favoring the short side).
