Chip, with your link that particular article interested me most.

well i'll tell you i'm as confused as armstrong, because i believed the business cycle top would be last year and the us economy would tank with the balance of the world.

now i am completely confused, i know a recession or worse is in the cards, but now looking at commodities and the inability for our economy to be impacted by the worldwide deflation bug, well we are in a new era, different than the 20's, but definately rhyming.

It's possible that the kondrietieff wave deflationery cycle bottomed with the asia crisis and now we are in an inflationery wave.

on the other hand, a recession will cause the bloated us credit system to create massive debt default by consumers and corportations, which would induce a deflationary spiral.

crap hell if i know, but i'm short ndx and long gold and happy to be there right now.
