OG, this is another one of your unbelievable posts!!!

Somehow when CSCO attempts to paint LU as "old world" it is acceptable and standard marketing which shouldn't be taken exception to. LU with the NX-64000, optical routing technology, Stinger DSLAM, 1V 100mHz DSP chip being "positioned" as old world is a lie. Sure, LU owns the old world stuff, but if anything it has "positioned" itself as a premier end-to-end IP systems provider going forward. These are all LU cutting-edge products that CSCO does not have and probably will not have in the near future. This fact cannot be hidden behind "positioning" on this board.

Furthermore, when LU's Pat Russo pointed out (referring to the Cerent purchase and LU's mountain of patents) that everything CSCO has, LU already has or shortly will have, somehow you feel a need to point out that this is a mistake! In your mind, when LU makes truthful statements like this it doesn't count as positioning.

Finally, you have spent mucho bandwidth arguing with various people on this board about how fast packet-based networks are going to drive out cell and circuit based ones. According to you, it was going to happen tomorrow. In the latest "positioning" by CSCO the future is suddenly going to be ATM/IP. Your response (as I recall) is that you were glad that CSCO had changed its tune and that you would be worried if it hadn't.

I am sure some people on this LU board give you a shred of credibility, but most have seen through your CSCO spin-doctoring. I own both LU and CSCO, but can't stand to see your BS go unchallenged. If you want to spin-doctor go back to the CSCO board where anything you say no matter how far-fetched will be sucked-up.
