I remember in a basic lifesaving course in high school listening to the various "safety" items that a pool should have. A telephone headed the list, so the paramedics could be called. It's not a substitute for any of the other equipment, but an important item to have. And of course you want that phone to be as reliable as possible. That goes for the backwoods as well as the municipal pool. [And how come SI is defaulting on "Use Fixed Font" sometimes, but not always?] Best, JS
