You are right on the money here, John. The PC market share was drooping even before the Dreamcast launch. 34%, I believe, down from 44% the year before. With the triple introduction of Dreamcast, Playstation II and Dolphin, I wouldn't be too surprised if the PC share was less than 25% within two years.

Also, the much ballyhooed X-Box of MSFT/Intel would have to be console in concept as the main target here is the domestic all-in entertainment center not just a game player.

Few people, IMHO, realize that the trigger for video games is social not technological. In other words, we like playing games with our friends all together - not in front, all alone, in front of a baleful TV screen.

THDO has to move fast and reorient its product mix towards the console market and, we must not forget, the online games market.
