Very interesting reference.

Xerox was also instrumental in the development of Ethernet as the defacto LAN standard. Xerox and Digital partnered to develop it while Arcnet, the first commercial LAN technology, was struggling to be deployed by Datapoint. IBM's later introduced token ring was a ripoff of Arcnet's token passing scheme.
