First, LT has a habit of misquoting conservatives. But more importantly, it is obvious to me that Kemp's point was not solely related to the graphical interface. Sure Apple probably exploited concepts developed by others and specifically this Xerox innovation. All the tech companies do it. In fact most businesses (hi tech and otherwise) will try to exploit innovations made by competitors if the innovator doesn't try to block such activities. However, Apple as a going concern was successful for a number of reasons independent from exploitation of this particular concept which originated at Xerox. Assuming LT has accurately quoted Kemp in the first place, that's how I read his statement. JLA
