From your lips to the ears of the Gods. Excellent post. Powerful. Another post to hang on the refrigerator.

V,

Thanks, I feel better! <gg> Seriously, I, as well as others, appreciate your comments. You are probably right and because of these comments and my own research I will hold until the story changes.

Off to the well!

Regards,

MileHigh

PS- Sorry I do not respond in length and kind to your thorough and thought provoking posts, guess I don't have it in me right now! <gg>

<<I have very little respect for the graybeards on Wall St., most are Bell Curve mothers who have been schooled by the Barton Biggs of the world, they will be slow to grasp but urgent to catch up>>

Hey V, be thankful for their ineptness. How in the hell else could we have bought this thing at 19 a year ago!!!

I got a call from a friend at Everen last year wanting me to explain QCOM. He had some of the brokers in a conference room and put me on the speaker phone. I gave about a 30 minute overview, including questions from the floor. It was interesting because the Everen analyst was a long term bull on QCOM, but they needed more(I guess). Anyway, I ran into one of them during the summer and he said his clients were still in QCOM and he still had the notes from the original call.

I'll say it again. It was tough sticking with this one with the Dot.Coms running out of control while it stayed flat. This is really fun.

Volt, I agree with your Psych. dynamics and hope your are right in your forecast. I have been close to Q since before the IPO and now close to a 4xquillionare. Almost 90% of my holdings are in Q. Don't know how to spell diversification since I found Q. Fortunately, all but 2000 shares are in my SEP. If I was more than a few months away from retiring at 59, I would be holding for at least a 5 year period, but I will probably take some off the table for retirement income. Now I have a serious question for the board to consider.

IMO, there are three things that could drastically affect Q on the downside:

1) World wide recession (Don't see that happening)
2) New and better technology (Don't see that happening)
3) Top Management

It's item three that I am concerned about. To wit, Dr. J is becoming a byword, synonymous with Bill. The management team has the complete confidence of this board and he is the darling of Tech. This is exactly my concern. If for any reason, Dr. J is no longer capable of guiding the company (i.e. health or heaven forbid worse) how would this affect the future of Q??? Vertibi and Antonio, are a force as I am sure others are--but, is the team that would be left capable of pushing the train at the same speed??????? Similarly, what would be the effect of losing either Vertibi or Antonio or others??? I assume that Q has a policy of no more than two executives flying on the same plane at the same time.

All responses appreciated.

Volt man--Hell of a rant.I computed that the stock could support a $600 price today---but first, It has to get there. And that is a torturous path.

Nice work. Call me nuts but I agree with you about the sentiment and stock price valuation. If it hits 600, I will be running to my boss to quit on the spot.

Its mighty scary so won't stay long. Will ask Spud Farmer keep
an eye on my 600 acres down by the creek and hope they don't get trampled.
