I think the standards are not as important here as many assume. I won't venture how the market will react to this news, I think most that are still here have learned long ago not to sell at apparent tops so I'm not sure the short term reaction to this news is that relevant to the majority although I am sure it must matter to some of the more speculative here.

I think HDR is 3G, most just don't realize it. Sometimes when technology is changing very rapidly markets don't wait for a standard to be approved before deploying a new technology but that technology becomes the new standard. This is what I think will happen with HDR. It is much more flexible than Wideband and offers everything I think the market wants and needs for many years in the future.
