Lucent Update. Contradiction to stewy RB post. Board someone just posted this on the RB thread which contradicts the stewy post concerning WaveStar:. Also I called JDSU and spoke to Barbara Mayo in IR - 408 428 6001 - and she had not heard of WaveStar. She did promise to get back to me with any information. I apologize for any confusion. Here is the negating RB post. I am not sure if this changes anything with regards to JDSU since all this information was well know already.

Optical Micromirrors

JDSU does NOT supply Lucent with this technology. Lucent have their own fab. In fact Lucent Microelectronics is the world's largest optical components supplier. They have arrayed waveguide technology which is better than the JDSU solution for large DWDM devices.

JDSU has access to MEMS technology, but NTT and Lucent are the big boys, along with TI and a few startups.

Sorry to disappoint.
