RE:"- I cannot see much downside in the conf call. Do you? If so what could
it be?

price now?

Tiny profit?"

1. I don't see a downside conference call.
2. A little
3. -.30 of all your choices

Chuck,

< -I cannot see much downside in the conf call. Do you? If so what could it be? >

I cannot see any big downside surprises either.

< -Do you think the stock reflects AMD posting -30c? -20c? -10c? 0c? Tiny profit? >

-20c to -15c

< What are you folks thinking?>

I've a different feeling on the current run up in this stock price from the recent two run ups we had. IMHO, this time, hedging against any drop would be a better idea than selling the stock. Nov 22 1/2 puts are going at 7/16 bid, 5/8 ask.

Charles:

Do what everyone who has ever made money on this company has done. Hold for another few months as the stock runs to 30....like it did about a year ago. Then short it for the run back to the mid teens. As predictable as can be!!! Congratulations on making money here.

Also Ted: I think Stewart would prefer a stock that is not 25-30% of its 52 week high in order to get rich. QCOM comes to mind as a "Stewart" stock. Hope the conference call goes well. Will accelerate that run to 30. Good luck...

My wags

1) pro-INTC/AMD hater analysts will take their shots, I think Jerry will bite his tongue as he did in the conference call. Smile Jerry!
Jerry promised them 2 OEM's, they will ask that. Maybe ask why are you selling a money making part of the company?

2) good news? AMD Yields? Floppermine?

3) I think the stock price reflects nothing has been found wrong with the Athlon processor. Everybody waiting on bad news.
Earnings will increase the value of the company. Same as CPQ.

Final thoughts, we need pc133 and the newest mobo now.
800k or 1.2 million Athlons produced doesn't make any difference to me. AMD had 150k Athlons left over last quarter.

Chuck, re: < Got about an hour to make a decision.

What are you folks thinking? >

I know you held on to your AMD position. What are your new plans to deal with your AMD position. What are your expectations for tomorrow and after that?
