Tom.. not knowing you I vote for you as thread head.. because there is no way, no matter how little or how much you know of stock selection, that you would be worse than someone who is completely ignorant of trading systems, technical analysis, fundamental analysis, chart patterns, indicators, or any trading systems remotely connected with position trading, short term trading or day trading. Yet they have the dubious distinction of calling themselves 'trader', or worse still 'leader'.

No one attacks any 'thread big heads'.. I don't give those titles that easily.. There are very few 'thread big heads' who deserve that lofty title. Give me one thread big head of distinction that was attacked. Who is doing the attacking are usually the 'thread wannabes' who would like to emulate the success of the others, but are sorely lacking. I bookmark these sites: MDA site, daytrading fundamentals, Z-place to trade stocks, trading in and out for profits, 56 points, Anthony Pacific site for some good short ideas, Cents and Sensibility, The Big Kahuna, Trader J's site... great sites who don't begrudge the success of others who branch out and make successful businesses.

Those that are miffed because Anthony Pacific or myself have a small reference in our profiles or mention our site are just those that 'would if they could but they can't'. My website is proliferated with ads for SI and both Anthony and myself bring a fair amount of our 'private site' subscribers to SI.. The 'sour grapes' theory I'm used to. Its been stated before ad nauseum usually by those that don't have the true grit to start a successful enterprise on their own. Some of them 'rub shoulders' and try to 'work on these commercial' sites, have plans that are stated in detail but then it just doesn't work for them and they end up back to square one.

When A@P was gone SI was replete with boring threads about 'guru mud slinging contests' and otherwise senseless parodies of a true stock thread.

The Market Gems thread has merit beyond the 'use for commercial purposes so does Anthony's thread. Can you claim the same distinction? Do you put as much into a thread on SI that moves it to #1 or #2 spot? There are over a dozen 'clever and innovative' ex-members of SI that have carved out a very profitable niche for themselves and started on SI. Some have gone on to start IPO's and are now among the elite earning 8 figures a year. I take my hat off to these entrepreneurs. I don't begrudge them their success.

There are also dozens and hundreds who try very hard and can't even get a thread going with enough posters to take root, unless its a thread that attacks those that have success.. They take root for a few hours until they die a natural death.
