Hi Goutama Sai Kantamaneni; One unmentioned benefit of this up move in AMD is the press it generates.

Since the country is currently in the midst of a bubble-maniacal stock buying frenzy, complete with near total loss of sanity, there will be more than just a little synergy between hitting the financial press with a big stock move, and also running advertisements for the new processor.

The stock move tends to support the ad. "Since the stock moved up so well, the advertisements must be for real." Thus more people are willing to try AMD. Thus more sales.

The only other time I bought AMD, I doubled my money (from $8 to $16) in about 6 months. It turned out that I sold way too early, as the stock doubled again, I think.

Glorious stock move, though. Should excite the momentum traders, and the value investors aren't going to be giving shares away easy. We'll probably retrace some tomorrow, but I am holding this until about six months from now.
