FWIW,

I ordered one of the People PC computer systems advertised on television. The computer, a Toshiba, seems ok other than the W98 cd which is strictly a full uninstall-reinstall setup. Their tech support is worse than HP's and their telephone system is laughable were it not my time wasted trying to talk to someone. The personnel, while pleasant, really don't have much of a clue as to what they are doing. Tonight one wanted to reformat my hard drive because I couldn't get on the internet using their provider. I think my presence here using an old provider indicates it's not a matter of formatting. Finally found one tech, Ben, that realized that UUnet needed to be notified that it was obviously on their end.

Price is right if there aren't too many more problems. Incredible waits to talk with support personnel.
