Edamo, the day that Dell starts managing "perceptions" of its company, as opposed to managing its business, is the day that I will sell 100% of my shares. That, IMO, is the quick road to failure, and its what our pal Pfieffer (sp?) tried to do over at Compaq. If they continue to execute on their model, and continue to grow the business, the market's perceptions will take care of themselves. FWIW. Andy

Ed. Best post I've seen here in months. Also glad to see Chuzz back in great form. scott..re : "dell rising" dell will be flat until the dell management changes the perception of the company from more then just the best box maker in the world. gtw moving due to "vision" of future with consumer aol tie in...dell yet to announce any "new" consumer product... christmas not far off...where is the ad campaign???? gtw launced its inet computer at $799...aapl strong....dell needs to overhaul its image..."mikey" and his smiling face ain't making it.... yes "perception"....much to the chagrin of the dell zealots...great company, mediocre stock........until the "perception" changes.. what's the future "mikey"????? more plain white boxes???? you mention telecom and inet as hot....why??? the "perception" of the future.......look at qcom..."perception" is that all the wires in the world are going to be made redundant....not reality, but current "perception" causing qcom to surge....what has "mikey" said about the future???? not much...compare jacobs comments on china with dell...think about it! nolimitz
