Max, one must now realize that it is presently cheap money to test for a 40 element "suite" on SEMs that are now accepted by PRs and NRs at ASE based companies now...ICP..Induction Coupled Plasma readings and SEMs are going to be called "SUITES" of METALS as all companies can easy ( ily ) and Cheaply find out what they have...all they need do is TEST it now with the NEW TECHNOLOGY and fisrt one has to find out if the METALS ( ok, Element) are THERE! Sweet news to all the various ASE ( Canadian Based Companies now) See Recent CN companies news relaeses withese elements all tested NEW TECH type: MMU( yesterday in the NEWS) , NBL, Fga.A, POM, BUFD, BMD( see June 99, lab talk in lowest URL below) and the list goes on.

Thanx CJG. The geochem confirms it! This is one honkin' area. From today's NR:

These results substantiate that the mineralized volcaniclastic rock unit, which occurs at about the 800m elevation, is the source of gold and hydrothermal pathfinder anomalies within the drainage system and therefore reduces the requirement to continue intense exploration outside of the broad fault zone where current exploration is being conducted on the Marum / International Tower Hill joint venture property.

[Remember from an earlier MMU NR]:

The current operation will focus on an 18-Km section of a large fault system that is now tentatively defined as being approximately 48 Km long and up to 6 Km wide along certain sections.
--

Today's discussion,

The Chinchaga metals program has evolved rapidly and positively since the first discovery of metallic mineralization during a February 1999 drill program. That discovery suggested the probable existence of mineralizing faults. These were quickly identified upon completion of a satellite image structural analysis program. Field investigation of the faults resulted in the immediate identification of mineralized outcrops that were found to be enriched in gold. Corroborative work, including regional stream geochemistry, has confirmed the location of the mineralization in two dimensions, along the faults and at a specific stratigraphic layer. The geographic and volumetric extent of the mineralized target layer is immense and will be tested by two drill site areas located 8Km apart. [on the northern 18 Km section of an extensive fault-related mineralized zone which has so far yielded anomalous gold and metal values in a layered, hydrothermally altered, volcaniclastic rock unit.]

-We oughta be seeing still more lab results too.

. The stream
sediment samples were analyzed at the Saskatchewan Research Council using
Fire Assay for gold and ICP for multi-element geochemistry. The samples
contain gold values up to 14 times normal background levels and show a broad
regional gold anomaly downstream from the gold-bearing target layer currently
being explored by the Marum/ International Tower Hill joint venture partners.
Background values for gold in stream silt samples in the northern Chinchaga
are about 2 ppb (parts per billion). In contrast, stream silt gold values
downstream of the mineralized layer ranged from 8 to 28 ppb, distinct
anomalies ranging from 4 to 14 times background values. As well, stream silt
samples contain anomalous concentrations of arsenic and antimony, both
powerful epithermal mineralization pathfinder elements. These results
substantiate that the mineralized volcaniclastic rock unit, which occurs at
about the 800m elevation, is the source of gold and hydrothermal pathfinder
anomalies within the drainage system and therefore reduces the requirement to
continue intense exploration outside of the broad fault zone where current
exploration is being conducted on the Marum / International Tower Hill joint
venture property.

Max,

Just out of curiosity, what do you think that Bob has promised that he hasn't followed through on?

What do you think that Fr. Gregory will do that is better? What is the path you want him to take?

IF J/L come back do you view that as good?(especially seeing how they have told the same lies with the same results over at MG, IMHO?

Do you want to see a continuation of testing for Lithium, or would you like to see testing for gold take precedence?

Instead of taking potshots, I would like to see what you want/think should happen and then we will see how closely things track that path.

The last I remember of JImmy/Matt/J-L, nothing ever went as they said it would, nobody ever broke more promises, and IMO nobody was ever worse for Naxos. Let's be honest, when Fr. Gregory takes over, those are the people that will be in charge and influential.

What does Fr. Gregory think that someone is going to come in and give Naxos millions of dollars for nothing? :-)

Mark

Max,

I would still appreciate an answer, if you have the time....
