OT:
Mike: My apologies to you and those of your profession that have scruples and a moral fiber that would attempt to do the job that your intended profession was designed. No doubt the "one bad apple" statement has some validation.

All professions have some sort of negative stigma attached. I do reserve the right to an opinion thank you. And you know what they say about opinions. <g>

Mike G. I agree. since all my investments depend on IP, lawyers are key to my retirement.

Since you may be up to speed on this, do you have an opinion
on the strength of SanDisks IP, and royalties from patents etc.

Thanks
Doug

Michael, (OT) Lawyers and the legal system are like the proverbial "chicken and egg". Laws are enacted by lawyers in government and interpreted by judges who are usually lawyers as well. And both sides in every argument are defended by lawyers.

It's a private club whose members have a strong disincentive to change the way things work. A club in which the common man has no hope of membership and over which he has no control. The anger you sense is not personal but rather the result of frustration with a judicial system which serves itself better than it serves the public.

No ... I don't want to scrap our judicial system. But if lawyers don't take action as a group to make the process more "user friendly", it will eventually become impossible to find any justice in the courts.
