I,ve been very happy with Matrox cards. 1600x1200 is not a problem.

Me too. They have never failed on me. Today I replaced ATI with Matrox G400 in my new computer. Costs twice more, but is worth every penny.

Does your Matrox card have the TV output on it? I was wondering how well a TV looked showing the computer screen.
