Hi BGL - thanks for your posts. I just want to be clear about what I said in my previous post. IMHO, there is a substantial difference between WCG and other VC backed IPOs, as I ve alluded to before. A lockup period can be real or formal. As someone who has been burnt by such arrangement in the past [as a matter of fact, I do not think 180 days is a strict rule, I ve got burnt as LLC formatted VC began to distribute shares.]

This is not the case here. WMB will likely to hang on to the majority ownership. INTC and SBC [another significant equity investor] are investing to bolster their respective business positions.

As to the float relative to the outstanding shares, IMHO, significance can go either way, i.e., nothing special. Here are some of the reasons. It is doubtful that WCG is a strong short candidate except for minor hedging activities. OTOH, it will not be a takeover candidate either. So, it is a wash! IMHO, that is one of the possible reasons it did not run away - and I got a tiny piece of it @ 28 and change - but how can one find such a bargain in fiber network? While some others are still digging trenches, WCG has already had $1B revenues with INTC and SBC to guarantee some of its utilisation.

Anyway, you can certainly wait for 180 days and see what happens, but IMHO, you may be able to find better candidates to play that game. WMB, INTC and SBC are all Alpha Wolves of their respective sectors, mess with them is a dangerous game

best, Bosco
