This thread is to discuss Williams Communications Group, to spun off from The Williams Companies (WMB) in Q2 1999. WCG's assets include: a 32,000 mile U.S. fiber network; ownership of 2% of the capacity of Winstar's (WCII) U.S. broadband fixed wireless network; Williams Vyvx, a longhaul carrier of video feeds for television networks and cable operators; a national fiber network in Canada; and a variety of value-add software and communications services.
