There have been a very few mass shootings over the years, though none I can think of recently. There was one in a Luby's restaurant in the Waco area (I think) about a decade ago. There's plenty of violent crime here as elsewhere. I'm not sure the concealed carry law has had any affect one way or the other. "All" citizens aren't allowed to carry concealed weapons. You have to get a permit and take a course. Few bother.
