Sorry, pal. Your comment, "...your attempt to make the "atmosphere" in here pleasant to the flesh...", is way off base. Christians will get bashed for speaking the truth. That is a fact. People also get bashed for speaking their own minds (disguised as truth). When I close the door on a JW after recognizing I'm not getting anywhere, I know THEY FEEL they are being harassed for doing God's work. Let me share something with you. One of the pastors in our church writes songs to the Lord that we all sing. I noticed the last time, one of the songs was co-written by another pastor in the church. Now I hope you understand what I'm about to say. The songwriter pastor has an incredible heart towards the Lord. It is evident in his sermons, dealings with people, mannerisms etc. He "glows" with the glory of Christ. When I saw the other name on the song sheet, my first thought was, "He even has that other brother making melodies to the Lord!" I bring this up because the spirit of joy, peace and LOVE is contagious, as well as negative spirits. What spirit are you bringing to this thread? Again, if the scriptures say, God is not willing that ANY should perish, then that includes those YOU or I may consider hopeless. Wake up! You're doing more harm than good. No one wants a relationship where there is no choice. That includes God. He made us in his own image, didn't he? If our marriages are a "type" of Christ and the church, then I ask you, did you predestine your mate to become your wife? Was there not a response on her part? Or did she have no choice. That's what you're saying in our relationship with God. If that is the case, then how come the word "IF" is written so many times? Jn 8:31, 1 Jn 1:9 I'm not here to continually debate you. If you're going to quote the Lord or Paul, recognize there were those who were totally devoted to them because of the spirit that was in them: The Spirit of Love as well as Truth. The truth states in 1 Tim. 4:10 that God is the saviour "of all men, specially of those that believe". How can that mean anything but that He died for ALL of mankind? There can not be a saviour for ALL men if some are predestined to hell. You my friend antagonize and grieve many of the saints. This is not just a case of the non believer or compromised christian provoking the Christ in you. Quite the contrary: You provoke your own brethren and this is not right. Romans 16:17,18 "Now I beseech you brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and AVOID them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."
