My friend,

I am definitely not taking profits in 1999...I am more looking at buying more.

Some food for thought...

Someone pointed out to me in a private message that they were watching JDX very close back in 1996 and someone using Georgia Pacific was a very big buyer of the stock during the run from .70 to $3.70 and looked to be net long around a million or so shares. Canada Stockwatch's data base only goes back 2 years for house buying/selling so I have no way of checking 1996 but I did go back two years to look really close at GP's action. The net buying for the month is bolded and the net selling is not. You will notice that they have just been a seller for the past year.

Total net sold during the past 2 years adds to 1.2 million shares. However if you look close you will see that during 1998 they were actually net positive buyers of 33,000 shares for the year. When everyone else was taking a tax loss these guys were sitting back and waiting. Now if you look for the last year you will find that they have net sold 1.26 million shares this year and are the top seller for the year. That is a hell of a lot of selling pressure keeping JDX down this year.

I am going to throw it out to the thread that the buyers from GP are resource guys and have been locking in a tax loss this whole year from shares bought in 1996. They were smart enough not to sell in 1998 when everyone else was locking in a loss and waited one more year. If you had to sell over a million shares in a year how would you do it. Sell more than 1 million in Nov.-Dec. and drive the price down in one of the weakest periods or slowly sell shares all year long. Personally selling shares all year long makes way more sense.

Now I already know that you can transfer shares from house to house and hide transactions. This is a trick used by the good old Vancover boys to hide themselves and one reason why you can't always follow individual houses when the shares are being manipulated. However someone buying a big position and selling at a loss would have no reason to change houses since they are not manipulating the shares and I will let it stand that they shares being sold now are the same ones bought in 1996.

If the above is true than when this selling pressure is finally gone the buyers should again be in control. GP is already net out almost 1.3 million and at the rate they have been selling in the past month they should likely blow out their position very soon and we can get on with the run.

Thought some people might find this interesting

Best Regards
KEITH
