Mary and GV, Very Off Topic I spilled a few beers with Mr. Veeck at Miller's Pub when it was on Adams street in Chicago. He used to hold up the north end of the bar on many afternoons when there wasn't a game. He was a fan first, an owner second. He used to sit in the bleachers with his shirt off, not in a shirt and tie in an air conditioned sky box like the owners do today. He made baseball more fun, and he seemed to me like a guy who had never seen a day he didn't enjoy. I wish I had spent more time in Millers. John
