...200 days seems excessive.... 200 days IS excessive! When have you seen a legitimate deal that takes that long? When have you seen a legitimate deal in which the merger candidate is not announced? In a legitimate deal company ABC announces a merger with company XYZ pending due diligence. Within a couple of months, AT MOST, company ABC either announces completion of the merger or that it has been called off. But that is in a LEGITIMATE deal!
