Yes Niels, but why would anyone want cheap DSL when they can have a revolutionary technology, with the amazing functionality of "Been There!" Just imagine having your incoming telephone calls forwarded back to you while you are on line!

That's about the new concept of "line sharing" and if the telcos have their way (as they usually do) they'll start grabbing anyone requesting DSL service for themselves. You see - the telcos own the copper and if the copper is already being used to supply voice circuits to customers they're going to want to keep it as untouched as possible by outside hands, especially since they're the ones having to guarantee service on those lines.

BTW: Looks like Bell South is getting closer to being done, note that there are still only an estimated 275,000 total customers using DSL of some sort. We better hope to see an increase in customers signing up for what's already being offered to them or DSL deployments aren't going to be anywhere near the latest estimates.
