Take a look at BesBuy adds,

2 K6-2 AMD mobile
0 Intel mobile
1 Desktop Celeron
1 Desktop K6-2
2 Desktop PIII
4 Desktop Athlon

One of the mobile is the new Fujitsu 450 MHz chip. Looks like AMD is continuing to do well in retail.

Chuck,

According to this, k6-2+ will have 3D-now extensions. This means that they are making extensive changes to the core, and all future AMD CPUS will have the enhanced 3DNow support! If true, it won't surprise me if they reveal beefed up FPU for performance improvements :o)

Other sources close to AMD have that the assumptions about the new Athlons and K6 line in our latest preview are correct. In other words, you may almost scratch the word "speculation" out of the article ; ). So if you want to know what exactly the Spitfire, Athlon Select, Thunderbird and Athlon Ultra are, don't forget to check out our latest preview.

Those same sources also told us that the new K6-line (K6-2+) will support the enhanced 3Dnow! extensions. Something very interesting: it seems that AMD has done some serious re-engineering on the K6-Core. There are other major (!) changes... We are trying to find out what those changes are. We 'll keep you posted.
