Chuck, According to this, k6-2+ will have 3D-now extensions. This means that they are making extensive changes to the core, and all future AMD CPUS will have the enhanced 3DNow support! If true, it won't surprise me if they reveal beefed up FPU for performance improvements :o) More about the K6-2+ johan Tuesday, November 16, 1999 (06:34 AM West-Europa (standaardtijd)) Other sources close to AMD have that the assumptions about the new Athlons and K6 line in our latest preview are correct. In other words, you may almost scratch the word "speculation" out of the article ; ).
