I see the low of the day is $256 (according to the SI real time quote tracker). A classic strategy in the bull/bear fight. Someone puts in an ask that they can claim is obviously wrong (and get it cancelled) but in the meantime crucial information about the low is gone, any graphical charts will have their scale set such that the real movements are unseen. The real heavyweights are in this fight!

Relatively few shares were sold at or above 400. All we know for sure is that as of Oct 15 there were 14.3 million shares of QCOM shorted, and that these shorts must have sold short at or below about 225 or so. All these shorts are seriously underwater now. Whether or not there was serious shorting when QCOM was at or above 400 is unknowable, but I doubt it. Probably a lot more shorting going on right here today, than there was at 400 yesterday.
