It is a world mind, of some of the best minds. I mean just having to operate a computer to be able to get "out" here to talk means 1. you are able to read and write and 2. you can operate some form of computer. THAT'S a heavy screen. How many people in this country would be able to vote if that was the test- think about it. We'd have a VERY different sort of government.

There is something about this that I can't put my finger on, either, and I don't want to speak for anyone else, but for me it says worlds about my ordinary superficiality, is what I suspect. And not just mine, other people's, too.

We are able to form deep relationships, or maybe just pleasant, salon-ish relationships, with each other, maybe because we don't see each other. We don't make snap judgments. We don't have prejudices. We have to accept each other on a deeper level, because that's all there is.

Some people, who shall be nameless here on DAR, have argued that all we know about each other is what we tell each other. But that supposes that one can fake one's very being. It doesn't matter what you tell me about yourself, it matters what you think, and what you say. How to put my finger on the difference between what you tell, and what you say? You can tell me you are kind, but if you attack others constantly, you are not kind. You can tell me you are educated, but if your posts are constantly ill-informed, you are not educated.

Age, sex, race, education, income, are all very important things in 3D, but here you can't make yourself into something other than what you are, because what you are here is what you say, and how you say it, and who you say it to, and when, and why. You are, partly, who you love, and partly who you hate, and partly who you help, and partly who you hoot at. I really don't care if you are male or female, old or young, rich or poor, I have zero interest in the color of your skin, or any of that stuff, all I care about is what you see and what you say.

That's who you are, to me.
