Mike,

<<Sometimes these placements seem kinda stinky and dilutive, sometimes they're a signal that smart money is getting in. Damned if I know how to tell the difference.>>

If someone else buys it at a discount its stinky and dilutive, if we do it's smart money. Wait, maybe its the other way around. <g>

Slightly OT (not less than a buck), interesting mechanics around the MMP Series A private. They raise $20MM in July in a fixed convert at 9 and change, then force a convert with the stock rising like a rocket through 14-15. Now that was SMART money (and the co. must think the stock is going higher fast) but not as smart as the money that got in on a private at the beginning of this month with a fixed convert of 8 and change. Wow!!

<Damned if I know how to tell the difference. >

You aren't alone. Look at ABGX. Market couldn't make up it's mind either. Weird how sometimes the stock sheds more in capitalization then the whole financing is worth. Only at the end of the Millenium.

OK, now that you're out of CTIC we can let it loose again <g>.

BTW thanks (sincerely) for GLGC, I'd never have looked at them except for your analysis, just got out last week at 7, there's probably some left ( differential against HYSQ seems to be the license) but I'm not greedy. Much. OK, I am but I needed the money to buy other dogs like AMLN <g!>.
