But we know its possible right? That was a slow page that I don't want to pull up again, but it was not an early-term fetus... there are premature births where babies live at that stage in incubators, etc. The age of the fetus vs. the procedure to save it I see as pretty distinct, because you could have made the abortion argument irrespective of whether or not the fetus was healthy. Its a tired old debate.

I think I would be a bit more sensitive to press like this if for once someone would present a mother with some hard choices to make vs. all these homebodies who have been "trying for years" for a baby - and nothing else going on other than that. Why don't they show a top professional woman on the verge of becoming a CEO somewhere who decides to give birth to a down syndrome child. THEN I'd listen.
