The amazing thing here is that Intel bumbled and fumbled their 0.18 launch and speedstep so badly that AMD will likely introduce Gemini before speedstep really shows up.

And AMD will likely be 100% of production at 0.18 in Q2 2000.

Intel will be stuck with 0.25 thru end of 2000.

This is truly amazing to me considering that Intel launched their first 0.18 micron parts 5-6 months ago.

And their poor yields/planning/bin splits/excess demand etc situation also presents another golden opportunity for AMD to beat analysts expectations of a $0.10-0.20 loss for Q4.

How sweet it is.
