John, there was a surge today on Oracle and also I think that people are getting tired of seeing the Nasdaq on a tear and are chasing stocks which have momentum. Microsoft with all the negative press and land mines are scaring a lot of people away. Folks are seeking greener pastures. Nobody is more disappointed that I am but do not want microsoft to be bullied, intimadated or ripped off. I know that many will feel that Microsoft is a predator and deserves what it is getting but everybody wants any stock that they don't own to fall. All Microsoft has to do is to put out a world wide memorandum on the internet explaining to the court of public opinion the injustices and corruption that this entire case was based and to call for a sweeping vote for new political leadership at next years elections. That is the ultimate revenge which may play out. How can any Microsoft shareholder endorce a democrat running for office??

The world is entering the "Post-PC" era. Microsoft is failing to innovate towards that new era, and is even fighting to hold back the progress of others, while in the background it is responding by quietly converting itself into a closed-end mutual fund of innovators. The "Market" in its wisdom sees through this ploy and is unwilling to pay the premium.
