She also had a choice not to sleep with the guy, right? Personal responsibility and the consequences of one's actions often result in tough choices which inconvenience us and make life difficult. I was prochoice myself until the birth of my children. JLA

Oh, I didn't mean she had the right to choose to have sexual intercourse with the father of her child at 16. Of course she didn't ~ she wasn't old enough to form the requisite consent. It was statutory rape. He should have been tried for rape, and put in prison. And your parents should be censured for not charging him. And as they were unwilling to do their moral duty, as her older brother, you should have. Shame!

But I am sure that you have, yourself, have never had sexual intercourse outside of marriage, and I commend you for that.
