Solon--Fortunately virginity can be cured by a nonsurgical procedure.
This form of birth defect afflicts just about the entire population and indeed surgery is not an effective treatment modality. The irony of virginity in both males and females the cost of curing it is born by the male. [Though women will most assuredly argue that they pay the real price.] Generally the price is assessed in the form of flowers, dinners, movies, and the telling of an absolute bucketful of lies.
However having ones virginity cured has less of a stigma attached to it than the curing of the next most common human problem of vision defects. Correcting vision can result in the afflicted being called 'Four eyes' or 'Coke Bottle Face' while a female who specializes in curing virginity is labeled a 'Babe' or 'Popular'. A male who has been cured gets the label 'Stud' unless of course the particular care giver he chose to treat him is not quite up to certain cultural standards of attractiveness. In which case he gets tagged with the nickname Ahab for his 'Harpooning the whale'.
