NYSE pitches plan for global alliance of 9 markets

Hong Kong--Nov 19--The New York Stock Exchange has proposed a global
alliance of 9 markets made up of three exchanges each from North America, Europe
and Asia, according to the head of Hong Kong's stock market. A Hong Kong
newspaper quoted Stock Exchange of Hong Kong chairman Charles Lee as saying the
plan was at a preliminary stage and that he couldn't name the other markets. But
brokers said the NYSE would likely focus on the Nasdaq, London, Tokyo, Toronto,
Australia, Frankfurt and Paris. (Story .4053)

Didn't get PCLN, didn't get RETK, didn't ever get one damn IPO out of Etrade. I have 100K to add to my OLB account.

Why should I send it to Etrade? The only way to get IPO's from them is to trade like a maniac and I for one think that is a loser.

So...who gives IPO's based on a 200K account? nobody? Schwab?

any ideas are appreciated cause Etrade isn't cutting it on the IPOs.

thanks,
jim

Thanks for the Nasdaq volume post, Labman. I'm very optimistic about this company anyway, but reading about the explosion in Nasdaq volume is making me damn near euphoric... It's hard to believe that we have anywhere to go but up.
